ATI TEAS 7 Complete Preparation for the Full Exam

I originally looked at the science book because that was my weaker area, but the complete package made much more sense once I saw how much Reading, Math and English can affect the overall result. The two volumes use the same clear reasoning style, so I would definitely choose the full set from the beginning.

What I like most is that the books explain how to think through the question rather than just giving facts to memorize. Science focuses on cause and effect, while the second volume teaches evidence, setup and grammar rules. Having both volumes together gives the preparation a much more complete structure.

The science volume is excellent for anatomy and physiology because the systems are connected instead of being taught as isolated lists. I especially like the direction-of-change approach with hormones and homeostasis. Still, I would choose the complete package because the second volume covers the rest of TEAS just as thoroughly.

The color coding became surprisingly useful after a few study sessions. I know immediately whether I am looking at a core rule, a common trap or the preferred way to solve something. Keeping that same visual system across Science, Reading, Math and English is one of the main reasons I prefer the complete set.

Reading was an area where two answers often looked reasonable to me. The second volume helped me stop choosing what sounded good and start asking what the passage actually supports. Paired with the science book, the complete package covers my weak areas without making me switch between completely different study styles.

I like that the math sections emphasize setting the problem up correctly before touching the calculator. Ratios, percentages, conversions and graphs feel much more manageable when I follow the same steps every time. I would still get both volumes because Science is too large a part of TEAS to prepare separately.

The complete package feels very balanced. Volume 1 handles the heavier science concepts and Volume 2 covers all three remaining sections, so nothing feels like an afterthought. The rapid reviews and practice questions are useful because they reinforce the detailed teaching rather than replacing it.

What stood out to me was the amount of actual exam strategy built into the content. There are reminders about timing, distractors, units, inference and alternate question formats throughout the books. I would choose the two-volume package because those techniques become more useful when you apply them across the whole exam.

Volume 1 made physiology much easier to organize because it keeps asking what changes next and why. The diagrams, highlights and short exam-style checks helped me remember the relationships better than plain notes. I still think the complete package is the better choice because the other three sections need a different kind of reasoning.

The English section is much more practical than I expected. Instead of relying on what sounds correct, it teaches you to identify agreement, modifiers, punctuation and sentence structure systematically. With the Reading, Math and full Science coverage added, the complete package feels much more useful than buying only one subject volume.

I appreciate that the practice includes different response formats instead of only standard multiple choice. Multiple select, ordered response and other formats become much less distracting once you understand the mechanics. Having that practice within both volumes makes the complete package feel much closer to a full preparation system.

The timed practice in Volume 2 helped me realize that my issue was not always knowledge but spending too long on one problem. The pacing advice is simple and realistic. Combined with the science review in Volume 1, I would rather have the complete set than try to fill the missing sections with unrelated resources.

The biggest benefit for me is how the books separate high-yield rules from common traps. I can do a detailed pass first and then return to the highlighted material for faster review. That works particularly well as a complete package because the same study method carries across every TEAS section.

I first expected Volume 1 to be mostly anatomy, but the biology, chemistry and scientific-reasoning coverage gives it much more depth. Then Volume 2 takes care of Reading, Math and English in the same organized style. For me, getting both together is the obvious choice because it completes the exam rather than only one section.

The two volumes give me one clear workflow for the entire TEAS: understand the concept or rule, identify the trap, practise it, then review the reasoning behind any mistake. That consistency is probably the strongest feature of the set. If I were starting my preparation again, I would go directly for the complete package.
