I bought the complete three-volume set because I wanted one structured EDIC resource rather than collecting notes from many places. The strongest part for me was how the books connect physiology with the actual next step in management. The color coding and rapid-review sections make going back through difficult topics much easier.

The full package is very well organised for EDIC I preparation. I especially liked that it does not just state facts—the explanations repeatedly force you to think about timing, safety and what changes management. It became much more useful to me once I started revising all three volumes together.

Volume 2 was the one I initially needed most because renal, electrolytes and neurocritical care were weaker areas for me, but after using it I ended up preferring the complete package. The decision tables and highlighted traps are genuinely useful for quick revision without making the content feel superficial.

This feels written for an intensive-care exam rather than copied from a standard ICU textbook. I found the distinction between reasonable management and the best next action particularly useful. Having the three volumes together also makes it much easier to revise the EDIC blueprint systematically.

What I appreciate most is the balance between detail and exam focus. Important thresholds, dangerous mistakes and management priorities stand out immediately, while the underlying reasoning is still explained. I would choose the complete set again because the subjects connect naturally across the three books.

A very practical set for someone preparing alongside ICU work. I could study a chapter properly and later come back only to the highlighted points, tables and rapid-review pages. The integrated questions are also much better when you have already covered the corresponding material in the package.

Volume 1 is particularly strong for haemodynamics, ventilation and resuscitation, which were the areas I wanted to consolidate first. What convinced me to use the full set was the same clinical reasoning format continuing into renal, neuro, therapeutics and organ support. It gives the preparation much more continuity.

I expected another long critical-care PDF, but the layout is much easier to work through than that. The red safety points, yellow high-yield facts and green management sections save a surprising amount of time during revision. For serious EDIC preparation I think the three volumes work best as one set.

The books are detailed without losing sight of the examination. I particularly liked the sections that compare similar clinical situations and explain why one apparently sensible option is still not the best answer. The final rapid reviews are excellent once you have studied the complete material properly.

The complete package helped me organise topics that I had previously been revising from unrelated sources. There is a clear pattern to the chapters, and after a while you start approaching questions in the same structured way—mechanism, immediate threat, management and reassessment. Very useful for EDIC-style thinking.

I started with Volume 3 because I wanted more work on RRT, sedation, ECMO and organ-support topics. It is very strong in those areas, especially the troubleshooting tables and clinical traps. I later used the other two volumes as well, and the complete package feels much more balanced for the actual exam.

The strongest feature for me is how efficiently important information is prioritised. Things you absolutely should not miss are visually obvious, but there is enough explanation around them to understand why. It is one of those resources where the complete three-volume structure is more valuable than any isolated chapter.

I liked that the questions are embedded after learning the clinical approach rather than being presented as random MCQs. The explanations around close alternatives are especially helpful because that is where EDIC questions can become difficult. The full set gives a much more complete preparation pathway.

Good balance of current ICU knowledge, exam technique and rapid revision. The comparison tables for shock, ventilation, electrolytes, organ support and emergencies are the pages I kept returning to. I would recommend studying the full package once and then using the highlighted sections for subsequent passes.
